 Welcome to Hooked on Spain Holidays and our Walking holiday on Tenerife. Tenerife is part of the seven Canary Islands located off the African coast , Tenerrife is the largest of the group. It is also pretty unique as it has situated in its middle is Spain’s highest peak Mount Tiede. To the south of the peak the landscape is very barren and desert like - it is where the majority of the beach lovers head for, to the north of the peak the landscape is totally different , forests , green vegetation and wonderful scenery. Our 7 night level two hiking vacation on Tenerife explores all the wonderful regions on the Island. Your walking holiday on Tenerife will show you the nice green parts as well as the barren red stoned Mount Tiede region.

Day 1 Arrival in Tenerife.
Arrive at Tenerife south airport and take the included taxi transfer to your hotel in the beautiful town of La Orotava, one of the most beautiful regions of the island.
Day 2 The Orotava valley
Today a short transfer to La Caldera for your walking tour in the pine tree forest of the lush La Orotava valley, an area that stretches from the very beautifully sculpted hillsides to the forest. Transfer back to La Orotava.
Walking duration 5 hours Heights: + 450 m / - 500 m.
Day 3 The laurel forest of Monte del Agua
Today a short transfer and walking tour in Los Silos’ laurel forest and then a transfer to the hotel in El Guincho, Garachico after your walk.
Walking duration 3,5 hours Heights: + 950 m
Day 4 The Teno massif
Today a transfers to the Teno massif with its fascinating Masca gorge. This a botanically very interesting area and the walk leads to Teno Alto with its slopes covered in tabaiba and opuntia.
Walking duration 4 hours Heights: + 400 m / - 400 m.
Day 5 The Teide National Park
Today a transfer to the Parador de las Cañadas and your hiking tour to Montaña Guajara. The Mount Teide area, with the highest peak in Spain, offers a rare chance to experience a plant and animal life that is unique to the island.
Walking duration 5 hours Heights: + 600 m / - 600 m.
Day 6 The pilgrim route to Arafo
A short transfer to the start of your walking tour along the volcano of Arafo. Transfer to the hotel in La Laguna. The natural beauty of the ancient lava rivers and the ravines surrounding the town famous for its outstanding endemic species make the views spectacular.
Walking duration 3,5-4 hours Heights: - 1600 m
Day 7 The Anaga massif
Transfer and walking tour in the Anaga massif which constitute an extensive protected area of high ecological value from the coast in Punta del Hidalgo to Carboneras along quiet paths offering some stunning views.
Walking duration 4 hours Heights: + 1000 m.
Day 8 Your tours is complete
Transfer by taxi to the south airport (TFS) for departure or continued stay.
Difficulty: Level 2 walking tour with Walks of 4 to 5.5 hours during which you climb up to 1000m
Accommodation: 7 nights in hotels, 2x in La Orotava in a small moorish styled upper class city hotel, 2x in El Guincho in 3 star old villa converted into a rural hotel, 1x in Las Cañadas in the Parador Nacional 4 star, 2x in La Laguna in 3 star city hotel
